I’ve peer reviewed other things in the past, but I don’t think I’ve ever peer reviewed a research proposal before, so this was definitely a new experience for me. It was a little hard for me to feel like I properly critiqued someone else’s writing, since I’m not an expert in their experimental procedures nor do I have a lot of experience with scientific modes of writing. I feel like I learned how to write with a more scientific tone from peer reviewing other people’s writing, and also how to make my sentences flow better as well as how to structure my proposal better.
