We also came to the consensus that it would be problematic to mark the scope of a community’s infrastructure on the constant flux of a crypto token – since stability isn’t ensured. Thus our new project idea is to develop a decentralized exchange to transact different crypto currencies. The current layer 1 solution implemented right now is very inefficient and has exorbitant transaction fees. An example of this can be seen when trying to covert $200 worth of BTC to ETH, and the transaction fee comes to about $100. We think that building upon the layer 2 model of Ethereum or on another blockchain can not only significantly decrease the fees but also ensure increased transactional efficiency. Due to this being such a new idea and many latter changes occurring fast – such as dropping the sponsor – we are interested to see how this idea progresses and are eager to create something competitive, beneficial, and intuitive in the space.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Much has occurred since the last post, primarily my project team and I have decided to part ways with our sponsor since we didn’t see eye to eye on many of the infrastructure utilizations that he had originally proposed.
