I’ve been pretty swamped with both my classes for the last week or so and I decided today that I needed to take a well-earned break and do something non-school-related to clear my mind, so I took a run down to the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) on the east side of Portland to check out the “15 Years of LAIKA” exhibit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
LAIKA Studios is an animation studio in Oregon that produces stop-motion animation movies, such as “The Boxtrolls”, “Coraline”, and “Kubo and the Two Strings”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The pop-up exhibit displays many of the puppets and sets used during production of their movies, and describes much of their creative processes, as well as artistic and technical innovations they’ve developed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you’re in town, I highly recommend checking it out, it runs through November 28, 2021 and is well worth the trip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
