For those wanting to either create a management plan or update their existing plan, here are some considerations for incorporating reforestation, vegetation management, and silviculture. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Retrieve your local copy of the&nbsp;Oregon Forest Management Plan Template&nbsp;(OFMP Template)<\/strong>&nbsp;that you started in the&nbsp;Module 1 or download a new copy of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/oregonstate.box.com\/s\/gpvkqxjb6sl82m138jt84ur7uym1j9aa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">OFMP Template<\/a>.&nbsp;As needed,&nbsp;<strong>review&nbsp;<\/strong>the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/oregonstate.box.com\/s\/3zbamd2yydhbm6m3jyuqlr6vd9cuyic8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Oregon Forest Management Planning Guidelines<\/a>&nbsp;(OMFP Guidelines).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Begin&nbsp;<\/strong>the Current Stand Conditions and Forest Health section of the OFMP Template&nbsp;(pages 13-14; forest health will be covered in the next module). As needed,&nbsp;<strong>review&nbsp;<\/strong>the OFMP Guidelines (pages 9-12).\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Watch&nbsp;<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/media.oregonstate.edu\/media\/t\/1_p5br0hod\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Making Stand Maps<\/a>&nbsp;(watch from 43.52 minutes to 1 hour 4 minutes). This recording from a class on management planning discusses the differences between an aerial photo and a stand map and how to use various tools to make stand maps.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Explore&nbsp;<\/strong>Ecotrust&#8217;s&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/forestplanner.ecotrust.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Forest Planner<\/a>&nbsp;&amp;&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/landmapper.ecotrust.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">LandMapper<\/a>&nbsp;tools for drawing stand types and generates the basic stand data and creating maps of your property.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Think&nbsp;<\/strong>about what you want for each stand in the next 5-10 years and next 50 years.
