In 2020, Fortune made a list of the best companies to work for, some of these companies include Rocket Companies, KPMG LLP, Adobe Systems Incorporated, and Perkins Coie LLP.

Rocket Companies, located in Detroit, listed at number 29, is a real estate company that helps clients achieve their dream home and financial freedom through trusted digital solutions. Made up of about 18,500 U.S.-based employees who feel welcomed and contribute to a good working environment.

KPMG LLP a company, located in New York, listed at number 32, is a professional services company that provides innovative business solutions and services to organizations. The 38,388 U.S.-based employees help organizations identify risk and take opportunities.

Adobe Systems Incorporated, located in San Jose, California, listed at number 35, is an information technology company that provides digital creative and innovative ideas for customers. The 14,582 U.S.-based employees help drive opportunities across digital documents and customer experience management.

Perkins Coie LLP, located in Seattle, Washington, listed at number 40, is a professional services company that provides high-value, strategic solutions for clients. The 2,482 U.S.-based employees provide client services that are vital to the client’s success.

These four companies are all quite large, yet they all have something in common, most employees in each company say that it is a great place to work. The employees feel like the facilities contribute to a good working environment. All companies feel welcomed when they join the company. 93% of employees from Rocket Companies, KPMG LLP, and Perkins Coie LLP feel like they are given the right resources and equipment to properly do their jobs. 92% of employees from both KPMG LLP and Perkins Coie LLP feel that they are given a lot of responsibility in the workplace.

Based on employee comments posted on the Fortune page, their HR practices offer employees responsibilities, encouragement to contribute, and training and development to enhance their professionalism. Additionally, their HR management upholds honest and ethical business practices, creating an environment where employees feel welcome and proud to represent their workplace. As a future HR manager, I aspire to become a great leader who will provide honest and ethical strategic practices, ensuring that all employees feel a sense of responsibility toward contributing to the organization’s success. By offering proper training, employees can efficiently perform at their best while acquiring new skills that can benefit them beyond the workplace. One of the challenges I anticipate as an HR manager is supporting employee mental health and well-being. Providing employees with the necessary resources they may require can be challenging, especially in a large company, as each individual’s needs may differ. Nonetheless, I am committed to addressing this challenge effectively.
