Hello world!

After researching Labor Unions and reviewing the advantages they can offer employees, I found that unionized workers often have higher wages and better benefits than non-union workers in the same sector. Unions also provide a higher level of job security and protection because several processes must be completed before termination. Working conditions are considerably better than those of non-union workers in the same industry. It also benefits the employers as well due to having a more stable staff with lower turnover while having predictable wages due to contracts. Disadvantages of unions could include union fees, risks of strikes, seniority-based promotions, and, for employers, higher costs of paying workers, even though it is a predictable cost. The job I have at the moment would affect my decision about whether to join a union. If I was working a job that had the likelihood of poor working conditions and unfair wages or a lack of opportunities to gain higher wages I would definitely think the dues would be worth joining a union. If I have a job with above-average working conditions, great benefits, and fair pay, with the opportunity to increase my salary, then the chances of me joining a union would be lower. Unions prove to be beneficial for a lot of different industries and are necessary to improve working conditions, benefits, and pay for future workers in those industries. Not all jobs or industries require unionized workers but for the industries that undervalue their workers, it is a significant organization.
