In the proposed dilemma choosing between Avery who has high potential but low performance and Jamie who is consistent but has limited potential, I would hire Jamie. For a company I believe having a stable and dependable person like Jamie can really make a business thrive because she can consistently complete the task I need, but gets flustered in situations outside her routine. Avery&#8217;s peak performance is attractive however not being consistent can really make it hard to rely on him when he&#8217;s unreliable. For the business the operations need someone who&#8217;s consistently shows up and delivers the work needed to keep things running. Jamie is perfect for this role because she is predictable and would help create trust within the team because she shows reliability which in my opinion is better than Avery&#8217;s high potential. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I would put Avery in a marketing section or design because having such brilliance if he could have a breakthrough idea it can help set the company apart from others. In this field even if Avery is slightly a slacker but has a great idea because of his intelligence and leads to a viral product or campaign is far more significant then day to day operations. Creating a product or campaign that boost the business values significantly is irreplaceable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jamie would be perfect for an HR job or customer service role. These positions require accuracy and routine which is perfect for Jamie who excels in everyday task. These jobs depend on details and commitment to doing things right consistently.
