Milwaukie Farmer’s Market<\/figcaption>\n <\/figure>\n

The merry month of May<\/strong> brings a wide variety of volunteer service and continuing education opportunities for Metro-area Master Gardeners.\u00a0 Both Farmers Markets and Master Gardener hotlines are starting to buzz with lots of activity and questions from the gardening public. There are still openings for a few of the Hands-on Workshops, and many more volunteer opportunities abound with our \u201cpartner\u201d community demonstration gardens.<\/p>\n

Dig-in as a garden educator volunteer, it\u2019s the season!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Farmer\u2019s Markets<\/strong> are sprouting up around the tri-county area.\u00a0 Master Gardeners are hosting clinic tables at the following markets this month.<\/p>\n

Keep an eye out!\u00a0 Special Volunteer Events.\u00a0 <\/strong>Special volunteer events arise throughout the season so be sure to watch for email announcements from MG program staff or postings on CERVIS to snag a slot at one of the many special volunteer opportunities.<\/p>\n

Get Volunteering! CERVIS<\/a> will get you there!<\/strong><\/p>\n

All of the OSU Sponsored volunteer activities are available for sign-up on CERVIS<\/a>, our online volunteer registration system. Look for the \u201cCERVIS<\/a> volunteer event registration” link on the right side of our main website: http:\/\/extension.oregonstate.edu\/mg\/metro\/ <\/a>.<\/p>\n

When logging into CERVIS<\/a> for the first time, enter your email and click on \u201cDon\u2019t Know password\/ Reset password\u201d to get a temporary password.<\/p>\n

Please only sign up for events that you know you can attend. If you need to cancel an event, please contact the clinic coordinator for a list of other volunteers interested in a particular activity. It is <\/strong>your responsibility to find a backup!<\/p>\n

Remember \u201cPartner\u201d activities and some \u201cProgram\u201d activities added at the last minute are not listed on CERVIS<\/a>. So be sure to keep an eye out for special email and newsletter announcements.<\/p>\n
