Pope V and Ousley L. in their dissertation on the effects of hand saniter hand sanitizer use and handwashing during the COVID-19 pandemic(2020). Describes the long lasting effect of repeated hand sanitizer use on an individual’s hands and their long term health overall. The purpose of this work was to show how long term use of hand sanitizer can cause damage to the skin of users over an extended period of time in order to show how exclusive use of the product could be harmful. The article was intended for the general audience in an attempt to promote good hygiene practices during a pandemic.
