The project so far has been relatively successful! I chose the project because of the overlap with my industry experience, and I am glad it is paying dividends in rapid development. The snip below is the current state of my visualization.
It depicts how well the experiment was executed. There are variable tolerances users can manipulate in the bottom right. Each one corresponds to a temperature difference limit for a zone. If a tolerance is set to 1, it means a test chamber on that day averaged within 1 degree centigrade of the target temperature. I still have some data cleansing to do, and maybe a few more bells and whistles; but finishing this visualization was what my project sponsor had planned for me this term. My stretch goal will be to replicate this visualization for additional experiment measures. To mitigate repeated work, I intend to make this visualization as perfect as possible so I can make copies of it and substitute other experiment measures in for the temperature reading this one is for.
My project does seem well on track to succeed at this point in the term! I still don’t know everything that I don’t know though, so it will be interesting to see what obstacles may arise in the coming weeks.
