I&#8217;m excited to find out today that our project will be &#8220;Custom scripts containerization for the research laboratory notebooks&#8221; and will involve use of Jupyter notebooks and containerization with Docker.  Looking forward to getting to know my team and jumping in.<br><br><strong>Why did you choose to go into Computer Science?<br><\/strong>This is a career change for me- I am experiencing right now the first year in 16 years that I haven&#8217;t been in a classroom as a teacher.  The field of machine learning is particularly fascinating for me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-pale-cyan-blue-background-color has-background\"><br><strong>What do you hope to learn from your project?<\/strong><br>I&#8217;m hoping to get some additional real-world experience with Docker and containerization for a project that has a positive impact on the research this company is engaged in.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-pale-cyan-blue-background-color has-background\"><br><strong>What type of person are you, in terms of a group dynamic?<\/strong><br>I enjoy being the leader in groups, but as I move into this field, I find that I prefer to be more of a solid contributor and the one to take on experimentation and research when needed.  Leadership skills were essential in my last career path and I&#8217;m always happy to step up when needed, but I want to make sure to use this time to develop my technical skillset as well!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This will be my project blog for my last class in the Post-Bacc Computer Science program.
