- Why did you and your team choose the technologies you did?
My team and I have begun working on the first steps of our project. We are working with a company to develop custom containerization of Jupyter Notebooks using Docker. We are not able to do much to choose our own technologies, as we have to create our work within the tech stack that was given to us. However, multiple people on the team want to use this as an opportunity to become more adept with Docker, so this is a great chance for us to do so.
We are trying to get our heads around the code base in the repo that was shared with us. It looks like we will be using a combination of Python, Jupyter Notebooks and JavaScript.
Generally, the UI that we have to create is going to be minimal and consist of adding to the current UI from the project sponsor. We will have to determine how to implement functionality in the form of a button, where the user can choose to implement the containerization process. This will have to match the other components of the user interface as it currently stands.
We have found that our team does well with short meetings a few times each week, both with the sponsor and as a group. We have been able to get things divided up and hopefully will have some additional progress to report next week.
