As a child, I enjoyed arts & crafts and drawing. In fact, in my Grade 1 yearbook, I wrote that I wanted to be an artist when I grew up. As the years passed, it became harder to make time for my creative side due to other priorities like studying and working. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When the pandemic hit in March 2020, it suddenly dawned on me that I didn’t really have any hobbies besides traveling and going to the gym. Because of COVID-19 and the lockdown, I thought it would be a good idea to have a hobby that can be done at home. I also had more time as my job at the time became remote. It was a great time to go back to my creative roots and start drawing again! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I first started creating watercolor textures. To be honest, I never knew creating textures was a thing until I saw a tutorial on YouTube. It was really fun to try something new and I created some cool and interesting textures. The one on the left is my attempt at a rainbow texture. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

I’m now into digital art. I love how forgiving it is. It’s fairly easy to change different elements of your art with a click of a button. Additionally, there is so much to explore in the digital art world – different textures, pen styles, and colors! Although I’m still learning, one thing I’m proud of is that I have turned some of my digital art pieces into enamel pins. It’s an out of this world feeling to have your digital art turn into a physical product that you can hold in your hands!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
