Project Description
- Streamline 3D scanning and modeling of large spaces for inexperienced users
- Automatically create interactive environments for virtual tours, remote learning, etc.
- Recreate the use of the Matterport camera in a cheaper and more accessible way

Team Members
Seika Mahmud – Researched scanning and meshing softwares and developed pipelines from scanning to Unreal Engine. Developed Metashape script using Python API.
Casey Boomer – Created user interface using PyQt5. Researched and developed plugins for meshing software.
Brandon Withington – Researched meshing softwares and worked with Unreal Engine plugins. Developed process for automatically importing models to Unreal Engine environment.
