Pronouns: She/Her
Major: Inorganic Chemistry
Title: Graduate Research Assistant
Awards: Jesse A. Hanson Science Scholarship Recipient
Hobbies: I am an art history nerd and spend most of my free time painting and drawing. I also love baking, cooking, swimming, and watching movies.
Research: My main research for my master’s work is on conjugated silver nanoparticles for Glaucoma detection. Using CTB-conjugated nanoparticles and hybrid lipid coatings, I focus on axonal transport to monitor and target retinal ganglion cell loss, which is a precursor to glaucoma development. This research aims to develop a more effective and less invasive method for detecting glaucoma in its early stages. In previous research, I worked with Anshika on her project, which involved transition metal nanoparticles, specifically focusing on the formation and stability of cobalt and nickel nanoparticles as imaging contrast agents.
