Research Description: My research focuses on the synthesis and stabilization of transition metal nanoparticles, particularly nickel and cobalt. I explore how different surface coatings and multi-metallic configurations influence nanoparticle behavior—specifically their aggregation, decomposition, and long-term stability. By investigating how these coatings and nanoparticle couplings affect their structural integrity, we aim to develop strategies that enhance their resilience in biological environments. The ultimate goal is to create nanoparticles that are stable enough for advanced applications, including cellular imaging, where precision and durability are critical.
