I have always been a curios person with a deep need to learn. From little tidbits of trivia to complex concepts that require devoted research, I find myself drawn to the quest for knowledge. I rarely dip my toes into any subject, but rather dive deep and swim around until I have explored every nook and cranny.<\/p>\n
I am a logical, mechanically inclined individual; a tinkerer of sorts. From Legos as a child, to models as an adolescent, to building PCs as a young adult, I have taken a keen interest in seeing how and why something works. I also enjoy the history surrounding things, so I can understand the logical journey that brought an event, object, or person to where they are.<\/p>\n
I almost started college college in hopes of becoming an architect, which harkens back to my curiosity and tinkering mindset. I also has a passion for history and learning, which influenced my decision to become an educator. My first degree is secondary education, with a focus on social studies. As much as I love learning, I have an equal passion for teaching. My wife and I homeschool our two wonderful children, and I often learn alongside them.<\/p>\n
I always had a passion for computers and coding, and after several difficulties finding an adequate career in education that can support a family of four, I finally decided to pursue a computer science degree. As I approach the finish line in my time at Oregon State University, I feel an excitement I haven’t felt in years.
