Kate Kyrylkova was awarded the Lenore Bayley Graduate Fellowship by the Graduate School for the 2013-14 academic year. The Bayley Fellowship is awarded annually to an OSU graduate student on the basis of academic merit and promise for the future. The award provides approximately $1,300 per academic term.
Kate is a graduate student in Mark Leid’s lab at the College of Pharmacy, and is studying the role of Ctip2/Bcl11b in tooth and craniofacial development. Kate is a past recipient of several awards, including the OSU College of Pharmacy Sponenburgh Award for best presentation at the annual graduate student retreat, as well as other presentation awards from various international societies. She has also been recognized twice for outstanding oral presentations at the Annual Student Research Forum at OHSU.
