College of Pharmacy students recently entered their video “Dare to Change” into the 5th annual PharmFlix Video Contest sponsored by APhA. The short video showcases the impact OSU College of Pharmacy students have on communities throughout Oregon and beyond.
The PharmFlix videos have proven to be popular among pharmacy schools across the nation as a way to advocate for the pharmacy profession. Students are able to promote the knowledge, compassion, and vision of the pharmacist and enhance perception of the pharmacist’s role in patient care. Through this year’s theme of “Be the Change” students showed how they can and do make an impact within community and patient lives.
The 2013 contest brought in over 56 unique and entertaining submissions. A panel of judges watched each video and selected the top 5 videos for Most Humorous and Most Informative and the top 10 videos for Best Picture. College of Pharmacy’s video “Dare to Change” has been selected to move on in the voting process for Best Picture. Final voting will take place during the first APhA-ASP House of Delegates Session at the APhA2014 Annual Meeting and Exposition in Orlando, Fl. PharmFlix Awards will be presented on the evening of Sunday, March 30 during the APhA-ASP Awards Celebration.
