On Friday, February 1st, P4 Rachael Hills presented to the first and second year PharmD students on the topic of residency as part of the College’s PharmD Enrichment and Professionalism Program (PEPP). Currently on a teaching rotation with instructors Ann Zweber and Roberto Linares, Rachael is in the midst of the residency application and interview process and drew on her experience to help prepare P1s and P2s.
During an hour-long presentation, Rachael covered a variety of topics including the definition is a residency, types of residency (managed care, hospital, and community pharmacy), information about residency projects, the benefits of a residency and how to prepare to apply for residencies.
