The AWARE in the Square event on November 16th partnered the College of Pharmacy with the Oregon Alliance Working for Antibiotic Resistance Education (Oregon AWARE) during the national Get Smart About Antibiotics Week. This year 64 P3 and P4 students participated in the event and provided education on appropriate antibiotic use to 914 Oregonians. The College also partnered with the Oregon Adult Immunization Coalition (OAIC) to provide influenza vaccines to 70 people who were with uninsured or faced barriers to accessing the vaccine. Furthermore, the event received significant press coverage on KGW News and OPB Radio. Thank you to all who worked to make this event a success!
