“Oregon State University plans to introduce two new MBA options in the fall of 2012: one a joint MBA and doctor of pharmacy degree, the other an MBA in Accountancy, or MBAA.
Both degrees will give students the opportunity to broaden their business knowledge to aid their career development.
Pharmacists, for example, will find the MBA useful not only in managing a single pharmacy but in moving up the ladder to regional management of retail pharmacies. The MBA would also aid pharmacists wishing to work with pharmaceutical companies.
Similarly, accountants in the MBAA program will gain a better understanding of management and business operations, which opens up doors for them.”
