Fred Meyer Pharmacy and the OSU College of Pharmacy partnered three years ago to develop the first and only PGY1 Community Practice residency in Oregon. We are proud to announce that at the March 2011 meeting of the ASHP Commission on Credentialing, our residency program was accredited!
Why do a Community Residency?
* 1 year of residency is equivalent to 3-5 years of pharmacy practice
* See first-hand how pharmaceutical care can be delivered in a community setting
* Participate in activities to develop skills ranging from drug information to compounding to creating patient care plans
* Have the opportunity to provide clinical pharmacy services to the community
* Access the knowledge of your preceptor, an experienced practitioner in a community pharmacy setting
