It is by far the most comprehensive  encyclopedia on the subject, and it will have tremendous utility for a wide  variety of users. Of course, librarians in academic as well as public libraries  will use it as a primary reference guide available to individuals interested in  education generally and African American education in particular. Scholars of  education will find the topics in the encyclopedia of value in their work.  Students\u2014undergraduate and graduate\u2014will find the volumes useful in education  courses and in other social science courses.
