This post is mainly about some recent life developments… we had our baby! It has been equally wonderful and challenging.. and altogether a bit nerve wracking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I don’t mean that the joy of having a baby boy is not tremendous, but I get now how my parents felt in regard to even the smallest things. It’s crazy to think about all the dangers and threats we encounter on a daily basis, and just move past. Driving my car with him in the back seat has never been so stressful. I sometimes find myself just watching him to make sure he’s breathing because his quiet moments are just that, so quiet. And the loud moments… their quite loud!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I’m lucky that I got a small break from work to help out at home. I really have no idea how families accomplished the birth of a child and continuing to make their homes without help from others. And the time. It’s crazy to think that most people get a week or so to handle such an immense change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For now he has a bit of a sleeping pattern, which has been helpful. We’re also taking shifts with feeding and changing throughout the night so that we don’t go crazy from lack of sleep. Just this morning I caught him smiling in his dreams, and it was awesome. Kind of makes me a bit weepy now, which is unusual. It’s coming from a happy place, I just don’t know why it’s happening to me. Maybe because I couldn’t get my phone out fast enough to capture his half smile. I know there will be more, I just wanted to get this one and share it with family and friends. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I see exactly why everyone posts so much about their kids on social media. I want to keep him private, but I’m just so damn proud.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
