I am a post-bacc student at Oregon State. My first degree was a dual-degree in biology and psychology at the University of Arkansas. I graduated during the pandemic, and I realized I had a passion for technology and found this program. Interestingly, I am originally from the Corvallis area, and both of my parents graduated from Oregon State. So, in a way, by completing this post-bacc program, I am completing a family tradition.
As I am finishing up my degree, I am exploring directions for my career. I am interested in front-end engineering. I want to work in a corporate setting, and I also want to find volunteer opportunities. I am Native American, and giving back to my community is incredibly important to me.
Currently, I am on the job hunt, but I have a side hustle of house sitting/dog sitting/cat sitting. It’s a nice gig, because I get to go work on school projects and personal projects in a new setting every week or so. Plus, I love hanging out with dogs and cats! I have my own dog as well, his name is Gus. He is a senior golden retriever mix, and he for sure has his own personality.
I am looking forward to meeting new people in this course and learning new things.
