My results were about what I expected them to be. I scored a 33 for extraversion, 59 for agreeableness, 71 for conscientious, 73 for neuroticism, and 49 for openness. I feel like this is all fairly accurate for myself. This describes me to be someone who can work alone or with others. I get along well with other people and am willing to understand other people’s perspectives and show them kindness. However, I am very nervous and skeptical of others. I would like my neuroticism to be lower, but I do think that while I have great masking and coping skills, the result is accurate to my natural state. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
If an employer were looking at my scores I would hope that they would find them to be worthy of hire. I would imagine that the extraversion score would be good in the sense that I can work well with others but can also manage myself working alone. I believe that this is a good balance for an employer. I think that the agreeableness and conscientious scores being average and above average would be admirable to an employer. In my opinion these scores reflect that I would be willing to look at other people’s perspectives when working on projects with them. Additionally, I think that the conscientiousness would allow me to get along well with people and not cause any issues with coworkers. I think that the openness would be about where you would want it. I am open to hearing other ideas and beliefs, but have no problem remaining strong in my own. The neuroticism is where I could see an employer getting nervous with my score. I think that if I could meet with the employer in person they would see that my score does not reflect in my actions or body language which would be reassuring. However, I can understand how the score might scare potential employers away. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
This week we took the IPIP-NEO test to learn more about our individual personalities.
