But, there\u2019s a double-edged sword with this \u2013 don\u2019t expect them to stay very long.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One could say that the majority of organizations found in the 100 Best Workplaces within the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greatplacetowork.com\/best-workplaces\/100-best\/2024\">2024 Great Place to Work<\/a><\/em> list show that a large percentage (up to \u00be) of employees have been there between 3-5 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.careerbuilder.com\/advice\/blog\/how-long-should-you-stay-in-a-job\">CareerBuilder.com<\/a> mentions that even those above 50 stays at jobs as long as they used to (under 10 years), millennials are less likely to stay beyond a few years. Even the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bls.gov\/news.release\/tenure.nr0.htm\">Bureau of Labor Statistics<\/a> agrees. This could be due to many organizations no longer representing themselves as a \u201clarge corporate entity\u201d where employees don\u2019t count. As an example, the \u201c100 Best Workplaces\u201d are reinventing themselves by giving employees a sense of culture, being part of a team, and benefits, and most importantly \u2013 being people-centric.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While compensation, benefits, and rewards are a good way to draw future employees \u2013 organizational culture and people matter. How an organization is socially responsible and sticks to its mission, vision, and values can be what keeps employees from moving on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>As an existing manager of a small non-profit organization, what I struggle with is enticing the right person for the right job.
