Some of them taught me skills and lessons and some courses I can&#8217;t even remember. So, what creates a difference between memorable and forgettable? When a course and teacher are transparent about the tasks at hand and the learning outcome, it sets a standard and allows students and me to understand what is expected. To base the training materials off of the course objective seems intuitive but is often times not done. I also think teaching the material in distinct and memorable ways helps ingrain the information into our minds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I am a very hands-on learner and believe that this training method is most effective for myself. If the class is 100% taught through presentation, I typically do not retain all of the information. However, if the presentation sets the foundation for the hands-on work or group-building, I think it expedites the learning curve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The last factor that I believe makes a substantial difference in the retention of material is the application to the real world. When instructors showcase the applicability of material with a student future career and lives, it enhances the desire to pay attention. Tangibles can be given to boost material retention and student focus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In conclusion the difference between a memorable and forgettable course lies in the details within the way it is taught.
