Diversity and Inclusion

I am someone who believes that we are all subjected to bias due to our backgrounds. We can break through these biases and let go of our predisposed misunderstandings, but these biases will still live inside of our society. I didn’t like Harvard’s social attitudes test. I don’t think that a website or a survey can decide if someone is bias. The very test itself is based on bias data that someone input in order to help determine stereotypical behavior of people with biases. Diversity enhances our organizational effectiveness and is something to strive for. In order to do this, sometimes people and companies need a little push. This is why we have things like the Equal Employment Opportunity. This helps get based initial biases and showcase different cultures, gender, and races. When we safeguard against discrimination, we end up teaching people through interaction and company success. Fostering diversity is a strategy that helps companies prioritize diversity and inclusivity. These cultural differences not only allow companies to be more successful, but also creates a culture where different people from vast backgrounds can come and succeed.
