Self-Reflection

1. What am I good at?

Some of the characteristics that I know set me apart from other people is the hard work I put in and the hard work that I know needs to be put in. I pride myself on being the hardest worker in the room and having a positive attitude that will help me to continue pushing myself forward. I am also a great problem solver that knows how to think outside the box and knows that you need to stray away from norms sometimes to achieve success in your own path.

2. What do I value?

Things I value are the ability to take care of my mother and my future family. I used to be motivated by money but as I’ve aged I have realized that it is not money that I truly want but security. I value hard work and a positive attitude as I feel like those two things will get you anywhere. Another thing I value is the ability to help others and be of service to others. Lastly, I value mental fortitude as things will not always go your way but you need to find a way to get things done and block out distractions.

3. How did I get here?

How I get into this major and this class is due to a change in major my freshman year. I was a biology major and wanted to do the pre-med route but I really just did not have the work ethic I have now compared to back then. I switched because I did not want to do the hard work and instead wanted to party but that has helped me realize my downfalls and has helped me work on my weaknesses.

4. Where am I going?

If I keep on the same trajectory as where I am now, I will be in a position to help people in an organization I work at while also preparing myself for my future life. I need to put more time into job interviews but other than that, I feel like I am on the right path.
