Experiences with Discrimination

Would the outstanding claims of discrimination change the way you felt about the company? Would it influence your decisions to support that company? Would it change whether or not you applied to work for that company in the future? Why or why not?

If I were to be put in this situation, I would have to first take a look at these outstanding claims of discrimination within my company. If I felt like they were credible I would then most likely have a change in opinion of the way I felt about the company. Things to consider would be topics such as is this discrimination widespread within the company or is it something that just happened once with a certain manager. I would no longer want to work at a company that has widespread discrimination within the company but if it is just one instance of discrimination it may not change my opinion on the entire company. It definitely would influence my decision to support the company if it was a bad case of discrimination. It would most definitely be a reason whether I apply there or not as I am Asian and a part of a minority community in the United States. As someone in a minority group in the United States, I would not want to be employed by a company that may not give me a fair shot at employment or bonuses/raises because I believe that everyone should be given an equal shot at jobs. Just because you are a different ethnicity or have a certain sexual preference does not mean you should be given the same opportunity as others.
