BCI EDGE addresses this gap by linking individual genomes with long-term records of recruitment, growth, mortality, seed production, environmental conditions and species interactions.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p style=\"font-size:clamp(0.875rem, 0.875rem + ((1vw - 0.2rem) * 0.458), 1.15rem);line-height:1.7\">The project focuses on conspecific negative density dependence: the reduced survival and growth experienced by trees near many individuals of their own species.
