The Basics
My name is James Frys, a few years removed from quarter-life on a limited scale of one century; nearly twenty-three of those years spent in an educational space leading up to this glorifying final semester of receiving the degree I have been longly coveting. Currently reside in upstate NY, but raised in Buffalo.

My love for programming stems from envisioning a life built around my own creations. Initially wanting to create websites, I pivoted to creating mobile applications and have been a self-proclaimed Flutter developer ever since. One of my top goals for building apps is to create new ways in which people can make money – who wouldn’t want to make some extra cash? (but hopefully not have to be some type of celebrity making money off of advertising)

The Capstone
#1: Dating app for animal adoption
As a young man who successfully navigated the Tinder-verse and came out on top with a wonderful, beautiful girlfriend AND her dog… of course I would be interested in building an app like this!
#2: Paw Parks
My girlfriend’s dog gained a brother this past year and after successfully moving from Florida back to New York, we have been struggling finding nice dog parks for the pups. Has Google been invented? Yes, but sometimes a nice patch of unattended land works just as well for us.
#3: Discover Daily
Not as sentimental for me as the first two options, but I like music. I also enjoy the posed challenge of tapping into Spotify’s API and creating daily playlists to the liking of the user.
