I complement my experimental approach with <em><strong>computational<\/strong><\/em> methods, primarily relying on density functional theory (<strong><em>DFT<\/em><\/strong>) calculations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I am interested in the intersection between the <em><strong>environment<\/strong><\/em>, <em><strong>analytical chemistry<\/strong><\/em> and <em><strong>human (health)<\/strong><\/em>, which leads me to works in the area of organic pollutants analyses in different matrices. Some of my works include remediation of <em><strong>PAC-contaminated soils<\/strong><\/em>, chemical analysis and exposure screening of <em><strong>neutral\/volatile PFAS<\/strong><\/em> found in consumer products, analysis of neutral\/volatile PFAS potential transdermal uptake from the gas phase, and preliminary risk assessments of neutral\/volatile PFAS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I am a big proponent of <em>healthy <strong>work-life<\/strong> balance<\/em> and am a big believer in the importance of <em><strong>mental health<\/strong><\/em>. I enjoy going to <em><strong>spin<\/strong><\/em> classes after work as a way to <em><strong>recharge<\/strong><\/em> during the week, while also utilizing available mental health supports.
