One class that I have taken that was super beneficial was my micro business class when I was a freshman. It was a team of 9 and the best part was it was a year long class so you had the same team for at least 2 terms and most likely the 3rd. It was aimed for Business majors and basically you and your team created some type of business or product and sold it. You do everything you need to start a business from marketing all the way to the operations, that class covered it all. It felt so rewarding to get so many sales and after we broke down the costs, bought pour materials in bulk, did a bunch of advertising, etc. we had our very own business. I was effective because it was hands-on work and lots of time commitment and teamwork.
The least beneficial class I have taken is an online music class. It was about the history of music and guessing where specific types of music came from. It wasn’t beneficial because it didn’t help me grow as a person or actually learn anything. Not to mention there wasnt alot being taught and it was all stuff through a textbook and memorizing specific dates. If I was a music major I can see how it could be a beneficial. Instead I felt like I was studying information I realistically would use again. Even though both of these classes are required, I think there is overall information in any class and you can learn it. It just depends on what you think helps you grow and what benefits you for your future.
