To anyone that took precious time out of their day to see what I have to say, welcome! This blog will be my place to express how I’m feeling on particular topics throughout my final quarter here at Oregon State University. I will have plenty of time over the course of this term to focus on project-specific updates, so I thought I would begin by telling you about myself outside of the classroom.
I was born and raised in a small town in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. I currently live with my mother and two sisters. However, the real owners of our house are our lone dog and nine cats. At this point, I know what you are thinking, and to that, I ask that you let me explain. We only intended to have our four oldest cats, but my girlfriend has a kind heart and would rescue every animal she came across and would bring them to us. If we could not find them a loving home, we wanted to be that for them and that’s how we welcomed 5/9 rescued animals into our family.
At my core, I love everything “nerdy”. I love esports, anime, manga, and video games. For anyone reading this that may not know what esports is, it is the same concept as traditional sports where a particular team competes in a particular game, but the beauty of it is that organizations are not bound to a single game (would highly recommend giving it a shot if you love competitive games and don’t watch already). Pertaining to esports, I am a devout 100 Thieves fan. I love anime and manga in its entirety, but One Piece is my favorite because of the immersive world the author Eiichiro Oda has built along with all the well-written characters. As far as video games are concerned, I definitely prefer multiplayer games like Valorant, League of Legends, and Apex Legends. Outside of the stereotypical “nerdy” hobbies, I enjoy soccer (football) and basketball. I am an Austin FC fan for the MLS and a Dallas Mavericks fan for the NBA.
This was hopefully able to give you a little insight into who I am. Feel free to keep up with my journey as I will be updating this blog throughout the term. I hope by the end of it, these updates will have painted a beautiful picture of my progress.
