Thresholds work

I’m just beginning to really delve into the landscape thresholds analysis. So far, this has involved wrangling datasets from collaborators into the same geographic projections and studying GIS layers to determine which fields are most likely to identify early seral forest consistently across study areas. I’ve been spending some quality time cross-checking forest layers with Google Earth to make sure fields are telling me what I think they’re telling me. Yes, I could definitely get lost in Google Earth for a day! I’m a little bummed that I’m not getting to enjoy time in the field, but I’ve had some awesome evening walks near my home in the Coast Range watching the season progress. Hoping to get out to the field sites with Thomas, Jim, Kristin & Matt soon.  ~Heather
