The week began with 20 students and educators arriving from the United States and abroad, toiling from early morning to late evening during the weeklong Genetic Code Expansion Workshop. Exhilarated, they worked tirelessly on their experiments and research, maximizing every minute. Sharing ideas, collaborating on problems and forging connections were all part of the experiential workshop. At the end of the week, many remained for the GCE Conference, while others headed back to their universities and labs with experiments in hand.
In 2016, we welcomed nearly 100 student and faculty researchers at the conference. Below are highlights from the week.
