My group has made some serious progress on our project that I’m excited about. We all have contributed quite a bit and it’s making everything come together nicely. I built out the UI and forms; another partner set up the backend and environment; and the other tied has started tying some of the backend to the UI tables and forms. Well we all have lent a hand to one another and continue to when issues arise, it’s good to see each member taking ownership in developing an integral aspect of the project.
One of our next major milestones that we have all began working on is getting our database fully connected and operational. Each of us has taken on a different page to write all the CRUD queries for. We are also writing Postman tests to ensure that they are working correctly. My group-mates do this type of work already at their day jobs so I am expecting it to be a breeze for them, but for me I am sure it will take a little bit more time and research. I am actually taking Cloud Computing concurrently with this class, and that has been my first exposure to Postman. I’m looking forward to implementing what I’ve learned so far in that class back into this project for reinforcement. We were also considering doing authentication soon, but one of my group-mates who has already taken Cloud Computing recommended we hold off on doing that until we cover the authentication module in that class. I’m also looking forward to that as being another fun way to reinforce what I am learning and bring it all together!
