Engineering Career fair
Thursday, February 28th
Various times between 7:30am-5:00pm

 

Volunteer positions include:  Parking pass distributor, Employer escorts, Back pack check-in/out, student entrance greeter, water cart, and loading of employers displays.

This an a great opportunity to help out! If you are already attending the Engineering Career fair, consider donating some of your time.

Ambassadors serve as representatives for the College of Engineering (COE) and are responsible for supporting the College in recruitment and diversification efforts.  Ambassadors lend support by attending on- and off-campus recruitment events, participating in professional conferences, attending alumni events, providing tours to students and parents who visit campus, traveling to high schools throughout the state to make presentations, and communicating with prospective students.

Want to be an Ambassador?!  Applications are now being accepted – due February 25th.

WHO:  Students exploring options for Engineering majors

WHAT: A panel of current students in each of OSU’s 14 Engineering majors will share a little about their major, what they study, why they like it, and what they plan to do with it after graduation.  The panel will be followed by informal break-out sessions to allow you to chat with the current students and ask more questions.

Join us to learn about the fantastic study abroad opportunity just for engineers: the Technical University of Denmark (DTU).  DTU is a comprehensive university offering classes in multiple engineering majors, all taught in English.  We’ll offer information on preparing to study in Denmark, and introduce you to the campus, class offerings, and get you started on the road to Denmark!

Interviews are coming!  Whether it’s for internships, graduate school admission, or summer jobs, it’s likely you’ll be asked to complete a professional interview sometime in the next few months.  The first rule of interviewing?  BE PREPARED!  Your first step?  Attend this free workshop geared toward engineering interviews.

WHAT:  Interviewing takes preparation and practice and in this presentation we will go over ways to prepare, perform, and follow through like a pro during the interview process. We will introduce different types of interview questions and how to respond in an organized manner, highlighting accomplishments.  Workshop faciliator is Marian Moore of OSU’s Career Services.

WHAT:  Techniques to help you prepare effectively for your upcoming exams, as well as test-day strategies to overcome test anxiety.  Presenters are  Michelle Ribeiro from OSU’s Counseling & Psychological Services and the COE Academic Coaches.
