The program&#8217;s academic goals focus on exploring both historical and contemporary aspects of Chinese art, including painting, calligraphy, sculpture, and architecture, as well as traditional and modern cultural practices. The Honors College Differential Tuition Scholarship is designed to make sure that students who are fully engaged with their HC education are not forced to withdraw due to the cost of enrollment in the college. Supported by donations from the Honors College community, Differential Tuition Scholarships are for $750-$1,560 for one academic year. The application for 2025-2026 Differential Tuition Scholarships will open <strong>Sat, Mar. 15<\/strong>. The <strong>deadline to apply is 11:59 p.m. on Mon, Apr. 14<\/strong>. All students who wish to be considered for a 2025-2026 continuing student scholarship in the Honors College should apply to the Differential Tuition Scholarship through ScholarDollars. Only returning and continuing Honors College students who are making progress toward completion of Honors College degree requirements are eligible to receive a scholarship. <a href=\"https:\/\/honors.oregonstate.edu\/honors-college-differential-tuition-scholarship\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">View here for more information<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>MACO Student Award applications now open<\/strong><br>Marine and Coastal Opportunities (MACO) is pleased to announce the <a href=\"https:\/\/maco.oregonstate.edu\/students\/awards-and-scholarships\/maco-student-awards\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">2025 MACO Student Awards<\/a>. These awards recognize and reward OSU undergraduate students who demonstrate outstanding scholarship and pursuits consistent with the transdisciplinary, collaborative, experiential learning and outreach vision and mission of MACO. To advance understanding of the complex social, cultural, historical, and economic nature of the marine environment, preference will be given to students studying these human dimensions of the coasts and ocean. Up to $500 per award, current OSU undergraduate students may apply for this scholarship. The application deadline is <strong>Mar. 31<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Honors College Emergency Grant<\/strong><br>The <a href=\"https:\/\/honors.oregonstate.edu\/emergency-grant\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Honors College Emergency Grant<\/a> supports students facing unexpected expenses, including housing, meals, course materials, healthcare, vehicle repairs, and travel for family emergencies. Grants are up to $500 per term, with a limit of two grants during your time in the HC. Honors College differential tuition is not covered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>HC Experiential Learning Scholarship<\/u><\/strong><br>The Honors College Experiential Learning Scholarship supports student engagement in the honors thesis (thesis proposal required), attendance at professional or academic conferences, payment of non-tuition fees associated with honors courses, or participation in an honors study abroad program. Applications are reviewed based on need, and the maximum award is $750. HYPER addresses challenges in aerospace travel and energy production, advancing the fundamental knowledge needed to overcome technical barriers limiting hypersonic flight. The 10-week program will be held this summer from <strong>May 18&nbsp;\u2013 July 25, 2025<\/strong>. Participants will gain hands-on research training in challenges such as: utilizing advanced manufacturing techniques for high-value components, developing novel methods for improved internal cooling and heat transfer effectiveness, and mitigating flutter through advanced rotor dynamic control. The OSU Energy Efficiency Center (EEC) is looking for motivated student energy\/technical analysts to work <strong>part-time during the school year (10-15 hrs\/week) and during the summer (30-40 hrs\/week).<\/strong> The OSU EEC offers comprehensive, student-led, on-site energy and productivity assessments to small and medium-sized manufacturers through a US Department of Energy funded program. Student teams advised by engineering faculty visit manufacturers and seek ways to increase their productivity and reduce energy use and waste. These engineering analyses and improvement recommendations are compiled into a report and delivered to the client. It is a great way to see many different industrial processes and learn about ways to save energy.
