Kristina received her H.B.S. in mathematics and has also received an M.S. in mathematics educations and an Ed.D. in community college leadership, all from Oregon State University. She began her careers as a math teacher and instructional coach in K-12 education and then shifted to teaching at the community college level. She has since transitioned into administration, and she is currently the Dean of Science, Engineering and Mathematics at Linn-Benton Community College. Grants are up to $500 per term, with a limit of two grants during your time in the HC. Honors College differential tuition is not covered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>HC Experiential Learning Scholarship<\/u><\/strong><br>The Honors College Experiential Learning Scholarship supports student engagement in the honors thesis (thesis proposal required), attendance at professional or academic conferences, payment of non-tuition fees associated with honors courses, or participation in an honors study abroad program. Applications are reviewed based on need, and the maximum award is $750. For full consideration, students can submit their applications through the OSU Jobs site by <strong>Mon.&nbsp;Feb.&nbsp;17<\/strong>.<br><br><strong>Become an HC Representative at the Michigan Clinical Outcomes Research and Reporting (MCORRP) Program<\/strong><br>Through a generous gift by Dr. Kim Eagle (HC grad \u201976), the Honors College is pleased to offer a paid internship with the Michigan Clinical Outcomes Research and Reporting Program (<a href=\"https:\/\/medresearch.umich.edu\/labs-departments\/centers\/mcorrp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">MCORRP<\/a>). This summer internship program is a 10-week opportunity, starting in early June and concluding in August, at the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor. The internship includes a stipend, as well as a housing and travel allowance. To apply students should be interested in pursuing a career in healthcare and be a strong steward of OSU and the Honors College. Applications will be accepted through <strong>Tue.&nbsp;Feb.&nbsp;25<\/strong>.<br><br><strong>NEW!&nbsp;NSF-DoD Summer 2025 Research Site at UCF: HYPER is&nbsp;Seeking Applicants<\/strong><br>The University of Central Florida, in collaboration with the National Science Foundation and Department of Defense&#8217;s&nbsp;Research Experiences for Undergraduates (NSF-DOD REU) Sites program, is seeking students for summer 2025 to participate in the Advanced Technologies for Hypersonic, Propulsive, Energetic, and Reusable Platforms (HYPER) program. HYPER addresses challenges in aerospace travel and energy production, advancing the fundamental knowledge needed to overcome technical barriers limiting hypersonic flight. The 10-week program will be held this summer from <strong>May 18&nbsp;\u2013 July 25, 2025<\/strong>. Participants will gain hands-on research training in challenges such as: utilizing advanced manufacturing techniques for high-value components, developing novel methods for improved internal cooling and heat transfer effectiveness, and mitigating flutter through advanced rotor dynamic control. Many of these challenges rely on approaches that cut across disciplines and research techniques.&nbsp;Each HYPER REU participant will receive a summer stipend of $6,000, on-campus housing, and a travel allowance to and from Orlando, Florida. <a href=\"http:\/\/cater.cecs.ucf.edu\/hyper\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Learn more about the program here<\/a>.
