Moving off-campus next year? Unsure of what your options and next steps are? Join Honors College staff and students, in collaboration with some Res Ed staff to hear more about options available, questions you should be asking, and red flags to look out for.

NEW THIS WEEK! CEOAS, CAS, COF Faculty Research Showcase<\/strong>
Tues. 4-5:30 p.m. at LInC 228 or online<\/strong>. Faculty and researchers in the College(s) of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences , Ag. Sciences and Forestry will present lightning talks (3-5 mins) about their research. After presentations presenters will be available to answer questions over snacks.
Faculty Research Showcases are an excellent way to connect with faculty members, learn more about their research, and potentially get involved in projects that could be the basis of an HC thesis. Even if you don\u2019t yet feel ready to begin research or are not sure about your interests, attending these events help you explore opportunities and make connections with students and researchers.

Scholarship & Financial Aid Opportunities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Application Now Open for 2025 Schoenstein Sustaining Excellence Scholarship<\/strong>
Applications are being accepted for the 2025 Schoenstein Sustaining Excellence Scholarship! The scholarship honors and recognizes OSU undergraduates who are community engaged leaders actively involved in activities beyond course work and who have demonstrated that they are committed to advancing a more caring, equitable, and socially just OSU and\/or local community. Apply via Scholar Dollars by<\/strong>Sat. Feb. 15<\/strong>. Six (6) students will be awarded a one-time scholarship in the amount of $2,000. Funded Opportunity for Undergrads through Oregon Sea Grant<\/strong>
The Oregon Sea Grant Scholars Program<\/a> is now accepting applications for the Summer Scholars Program, a paid 10-week program that places undergraduate students and students that graduated in the 2024-2025 academic year with a variety of Oregon based host organizations (Tribal, public agency, non-profit, non-governmental). Sites include in-person and remote opportunities. Students from around the country, and international students, are welcome to apply. Applications must be submitted by Mon.<\/strong>Feb. 17<\/strong>. Honors College Emergency Grant<\/strong>
The Honors College Emergency Grant<\/a> supports students facing unexpected expenses, including housing, meals, course materials, healthcare, vehicle repairs, and travel for family emergencies. Grants are up to $500 per term, with a limit of two grants during your time in the HC. Honors College differential tuition is not covered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

HC Experiential Learning Scholarship<\/u><\/strong>
The Honors College Experiential Learning Scholarship supports student engagement in the honors thesis (thesis proposal required), attendance at professional or academic conferences, payment of non-tuition fees associated with honors courses, or participation in an honors study abroad program. Applications are reviewed based on need, and the maximum award is $750. See here<\/a> for additional information. Applications can be submitted through ScholarDollars and evaluated on a rolling basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MHFEI Scholarship Application Live!<\/strong>
Apply here<\/a> for 2025-2026 scholarships through The Material Handling Education Foundation, Inc. by Fri. Jan. 31, 2025.<\/strong> Open to all undergraduate students pursuing a career in the material handling, supply chain, and logistics industry! Multiple scholarships available from $1,500 to $6,000. OHSU PREP is a one-year, NIH-funded research intensive postbaccalaureate research program. The focus of OHSU PREP is to support the development of diverse postbac researchers in STEM and enhance their transition to a PhD program in biomedical research. OSU Student Energy Analyst Position<\/strong>
Would you be interested in an on-campus job working with industry clients to reduce energy use and improve productivity, while applying what you are learning in your classes? The OSU Energy Efficiency Center (EEC) is looking for motivated student energy\/technical analysts to work part-time during the school year (10-15 hrs\/week) and during the summer (30-40 hrs\/week).<\/strong> The OSU EEC offers comprehensive, student-led, on-site energy and productivity assessments to small and medium-sized manufacturers through a US Department of Energy funded program. Student teams advised by engineering faculty visit manufacturers and seek ways to increase their productivity and reduce energy use and waste. These engineering analyses and improvement recommendations are compiled into a report and delivered to the client. University Legislative Scholars Applications Open<\/strong>
The University Legislative Scholars (ULS) program offers a year-long opportunity to engage with public policy at the state and federal levels. Truckin’ Tuesdays at the Memorial Union<\/u><\/strong>
Truckin\u2019 Tuesday is community event hosted by the Memorial Union Activities Team focused on bringing different types of foods to campus through food trucks! Most Tuesday’s there will be a variety of trucks next to the MU Quad open to students, staff, and the public.
