<\/span>Be sure to register for Summer Honors Bacc Core and Colloquia courses!\u00a0FES 485H: Consensus and Natural Resources<\/a> is a 3-credit Ecampus course offered during Summer 2024\u00a0which fulfills the Bacc Core:\u00a0Synthesis, Science\/Technology\/Society. Instructor: Stacy Rosenberg. Description: Using a working group approach, select a natural resource topic, study the team process and interaction as a method of learning, explore the issue using systems practice, and strive for consensus on solutions to the issue. The HC also allows for non-honors students to fill empty seats in honors classes. If interested, they can fill out a request here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/span>HC Graduates from Summer ’23-Summer ’24 are invited to join the Honors College deans and staff on Friday, June 14 from 4-6 p.m. in the LInC Lawn<\/strong> as we celebrate the accomplishments of honors students at the 2024 Honors College Graduation Celebration! There will be gifts for graduates, light refreshments and opportunities for photos at this event. Students and families are welcome to arrive any time from 4-5:30 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This summer, incoming students will read Javier Zamora\u2019s gripping memoir, Solito. This is the story of Zamora\u2019s migration at age nine from El Salvador to the U.S. as an unaccompanied minor. We invite everyone to read this year\u2019s selection, and to that end we have provided copies of the book that you can check out at Valley Library Reserves (four copies in English and one in Spanish). On Wednesday October 16, Zamora will come to campus to meet with honors students and participate in a moderated conversation at PRAx, the new performing arts center. The OSU Energy Efficiency Center (EEC) is looking for motivated student energy analysts to work part-time during the school year (10-20 hrs\/week) and during the summer (~40 hrs\/week). The OSU EEC offers comprehensive, student-led, on-site energy and productivity assessments to small and medium-sized manufacturers through a US Department of Energy funded program. Student teams advised by engineering faculty visit manufacturers and seek ways to increase their productivity and reduce energy use and waste.
