<\/span>Learn more about the field of environmental, conservation, and climate psychology in this newly designed, on-campus honors course. Explore topics like the effects of nature on psychological wellbeing, place attachment, the effects of climate change on our emotional states, and biophilic architecture and design. The OSU Student Learning Experience Surveys (SLEs) now include a block of four questions specific to honors courses. Please take the time to fill out the entire SLE for all your honors classes. Judge Rousseau was named an Honors College Alumni Fellow by the Oregon State University Alumni Association in 2023 and is a member of the Honors College Board of Regents, the college\u2019s leadership advisory group. After graduating from the honors program at Oregon State in 1971, she became the second woman to serve on the Oregon Court of Appeals and one of the first in the country to be a Chief Judge of a state Court of Appeals. At this discussion, she\u2019ll share reflections on how the courts affect us all in our everyday lives and how the role of the courts is changing. Honors College students with financial need can apply for a scholarship of up to $1,000 in support of participation in HC sponsored and planned international opportunities (France, Nepal, Romania and London in 2024). Funds are limited, and awards will be made based on financial need and availability of funds. Incoming first year students are eligible to apply for this scholarship as well. The HC Differential Tuition Scholarship<\/a> application will be opening on Friday, March 15th and will remain open until Tuesday, April 16th<\/strong>. All current HC students are eligible to apply. <\/span>Would you be interested in an on-campus job working with industry clients to reduce energy use and improve productivity, while applying what you are learning in your classes? The OSU Energy Efficiency Center (EEC) is looking for motivated student energy analysts to work part-time during the school year (10-20 hrs\/week) and during the summer (~40 hrs\/week). The OSU EEC offers comprehensive, student-led, on-site energy and productivity assessments to small and medium-sized manufacturers through a US Department of Energy funded program. Student teams advised by engineering faculty visit manufacturers and seek ways to increase their productivity and reduce energy use and waste. These engineering analyses and improvement recommendations are compiled into a report and delivered to the client.
