Scribendi <\/a>is a magazine published by University of New Mexico that feature work from Honor College Students across the Western US. You are encouraged to submit works in Visual Art, Photography, Poetry, Short Fiction, Creative Nonfiction, Foreign Language (with translation) and Open Media. Submissions are due Oct. 13<\/strong> and submission details can be found here<\/a>. Students selected as a award winner will receive up to $250. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This annual tradition is a chance for the entire Honors College community to celebrate the start of the academic year. Join us for community exploration of community and belonging as Corvallis hosts award-winning photographer John Noltner<\/a> from October 16 to 22<\/strong>. As a storyteller Noltner has worked on four continents gathering stories of human courage, grace, and resilience. Now he is coming to Corvallis to ask: \u201cWhat does belonging mean to you?\u201d This community building experience will feature photography exhibits, photography studio sessions, and a keynote talk and dialogue \u2014 all centered around belonging.
