All incoming first-year and transfer students will attend FORTE, a 3-hour academic experience designed to support your transition to OSU’s learning environment. Each block includes an 80-minute keynote session, followed by two 40-minute breakouts. These sessions will be held from\u00a09 a.m. until 4 p.m. at various locations.<\/strong>

Convocation is one of two seminal ceremonies that bookend the academic year. Whereas Commencement celebrates the graduating class, Convocation celebrates the incoming class. Each fall, Oregon State University welcomes the incoming class of students at the New Student Convocation ceremony.
