The OSU Advantage Accelerator team is looking for several HC interns for the 23-24 academic year as well as over the summer. Come learn more on Tuesday April 18 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in LInC 345<\/strong> and enjoy FREE PIZZA!<\/strong> This program is focused on high-growth, traded sector startup, and early-stage organizations. Interns assist in the development of new businesses through market research, competitive analysis, due diligence, and more. There are also positions for which interns contribute to intellectual property and patent evaluation, marketing of OSU technologies to potential licensees, and other aspects of invention analysis. The INTO OSU Cultural Ambassador Conversant Program provides an opportunity for honors students to earn honors credits while participating in a mutual cultural exchange. Participating honors students commit to meeting on average one hour per week with their international partner, keeping a log of the times and places they met and the topics discussed, and completing a 2 page reflection paper due at the end of the term. The Honors College recognizes that paying the differential tuition associated with HC enrollment can present a significant challenge. The Honors College Differential Tuition Scholarship is designed to make sure that students who are fully engaged with their HC education are not forced to withdraw due to the cost of enrollment in the college. Differential Tuition Scholarships are for $750-$1,500 for one academic year. The application for 2023-2024 Differential Tuition Scholarships will open on Wednesday, March 15<\/strong>. All students who wish to be considered for a 2023-2024 continuing student scholarship in the Honors College should apply to the Differential Tuition Scholarship through ScholarDollars<\/a>. Only returning and continuing Honors College students with unmet financial need who are making progress toward completion of Honors College degree requirements are eligible to receive a scholarship. The Marine Studies Initiative would like to recognize and reward OSU undergraduates who demonstrate outstanding scholarship and pursuits consistent with the transdisciplinary, collaborative, experiential learning and outreach vision and mission of MSI. The Branch Experiment Stations Research Internship Program provides $5000<\/strong> to undergraduate students to conduct a semi-independent research project at an OSU Branch Experiment Station<\/a>. Successful applicants are expected to spend between 10-13 weeks at the station. Most opportunities occur during summer term; however, some occur during fall\/winter\/spring. The College of Agricultural Sciences (CAS) is currently accepting proposals for the Continuing Researcher Support Program<\/a>. This program provides up to $1700 to undergraduate students from any major and college who are seeking support to conduct a semi-independent research project with a CAS faculty member. Projects can be conducted in summer term, academic year (fall, winter, spring), or full year. You can find more information on this program here<\/a>. S<\/strong>ubmit the research proposal by Friday, <\/strong>April 14<\/strong>. <\/strong>Proposals should include evidence of strong faculty\/student collaboration, previous student research experience, and a research topic in line with the ongoing research of the faculty. Oregon-based 3rd and 4th year undergraduates, and graduate students, are welcome to apply for OASE internships. The Summer 2023 Oregon Applied Sustainability Experience<\/a> (OASE) applications and list of participating businesses are live, see below! During this 10-week internship, college students are matched with an Oregon business to create sustainability solutions for industry practices. The student research assistant’s primary duties consist of conducting literary research, synthisizing literature, creating annotated bibliographies, preparing manuscripts, and attending weekly meetings. Knowledge of descriptive and inferential statistics is preferred. The student programer will program an app prototype for easy integration into Canvas, help create instructional videos, and provide research support. Skills preferred are knowledge of HTML\/CSS, Java, JavaScript, and python. Both jobs are an avarege of 20 hours a week for the 23-24 academic year. The Basic Needs Center is inviting students experiencing financial barriers to request up to three books to purchase<\/strong>. Requested books will be added to the lending library, which checks out physical textbooks for one term at a time at no cost to students.
