Registering for spring term? Take another look at spring term colloquia\u2014we\u2019ve increased the size of these classes (just a little!) in time for Phase 2 of Registration.

NEW!\u00a0Engage in Cultural Conversation and Earn HC Credit!<\/strong>
The INTO OSU Cultural Ambassador Conversant Program provides an opportunity for honors students to earn honors credits while participating in a mutual cultural exchange. Participating honors students commit to meeting on average one hour per week with their international partner, keeping a log of the times and places they met and the topics discussed, and completing a 2 page reflection paper due at the end of the term. HC Thailand Study Abroad<\/strong>

Scholarship & Financial Aid Opportunities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

HC Differential Scholarship Application Open<\/strong>
The Honors College recognizes that paying the differential tuition associated with HC enrollment can present a significant challenge. The Honors College Differential Tuition Scholarship is designed to make sure that students who are fully engaged with their HC education are not forced to withdraw due to the cost of enrollment in the college. Differential Tuition Scholarships are for $750-$1,500 for one academic year. The application for 2023-2024 Differential Tuition Scholarships will open on Wednesday, March 15<\/strong>. All students who wish to be considered for a 2023-2024 continuing student scholarship in the Honors College should apply to the Differential Tuition Scholarship through ScholarDollars<\/a>. Only returning and continuing Honors College students with unmet financial need who are making progress toward completion of Honors College degree requirements are eligible to receive a scholarship. MSI Student Awards 2023<\/strong>
The Marine Studies Initiative would like to recognize and reward OSU undergraduates who demonstrate outstanding scholarship and pursuits consistent with the transdisciplinary, collaborative, experiential learning and outreach vision and mission of MSI. Awards (up to $500) can cover expenses such as travel costs<\/strong> (to professional meetings, research experiences, and other experiential experiences\/courses); books and supplies purchases; memberships to online academic software, and field housing such as <\/strong>summer course housing at Hatfield Marine Science Center. <\/strong>More information can be found here<\/a>. SNAP Outreach at the BNC<\/strong>
Students may be eligible for $234 a month in grocery funds! SNAP is a federal nutrition benefits program, and the Basic Needs Center Center at Oregon State assists with applications! For more information visit the SNAP link here<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

HC Differential Tuition Emergency Grant<\/strong>
The Honors College encourages students experiencing unusual financial challenges to apply<\/a> for a one-term Honors College Differential Tuition and Emergency Grant of $500. HC Experiential Award Application<\/strong>
Honors students who have submitted a thesis proposal are eligible to apply<\/a> for an Honors Experiential Scholarship of up to $750 in support of participation at a professional conference or engagement in thesis research. NEW! Dell Technologies Services Summer Paid Internships<\/strong>
Dell is offering opportunities for students to be an engineering<\/a>, business<\/a> and general business<\/a> intern. The deadline to apply for these opportunities is Tuesday, March 28<\/strong>. Interviews will happen before Friday, April 14<\/strong>. Paid internship will be 10 weeks long from Monday, June 26th until Friday, September 1. Soundbox Six invites you to submit intermedia, sound, text, music, radio art, video art, performance-art, social media art, digital installations to the festival\u2019s 2023 open call. University of Central Florida Turbomachinery and Energy Research Opportunity<\/strong>
HYPER addresses challenges in aerospace travel and energy production, advancing the fundamental knowledge needed to overcome technical barriers limiting hypersonic flight. The 10-week program will be held this summer from Sunday, May 21 until Saturday, July 29<\/strong>. Participants will gain hands-on research training in challenges such as: utilizing advanced manufacturing techniques for high-value components, integrating in-site monitoring of stress-strain evolution, developing novel methods for improved internal cooling and heat transfer effectiveness, and mitigating flutter through advanced rotor dynamic control. Each HYPER REU participant will receive a summer stipend of $6,000<\/strong>, on-campus housing, and a travel allowance to and from Orlando, Florida. Become an Honors College START Leader<\/strong>
Honors College student START assistants help facilitate academic advising and registration during START sessions throughout the summer. START assistants will welcome and engage with incoming students, help students connect with academic advisors both in person and through Zoom. They will also assist incoming students by making class adjustments in the computer lab. Request Books for the BNC Textbook Lending Library<\/strong>
The Basic Needs Center is inviting students experiencing financial barriers to\u00a0request up to three books to purchase<\/strong>. Requested books will be added to the lending library, which checks out physical textbooks for one term at a time at no cost to students. Students who request a book will have the first opportunity to check it out for spring term. Submissions that come in by\u00a0Wednesday, March 22\u00a0<\/strong>will be ready by week one and those by\u00a0Wednesday, April 5<\/strong>\u00a0by end of week two. Beaver Freezer Triathlon Volunteer Opportunity<\/strong>
On Saturday, April 8<\/strong>, the Oregon State Triathlon Club is hosting the Beaver Freezer Triathlon, right here on campus in front of Dixon Recreation Center! To make this race run smoothly, we need as many volunteers as possible. If you volunteer, you will get free food, a free shirt, and free gratitude from our coordinators! Complete a Tsunami Survey<\/strong>
The goal of the survey is to understand how individuals living in the U.S. Pacific Northwest (PNW) are preparing for and thinking about earthquakes, tsunamis, and other natural hazards. The results of the survey will be used to develop recommendations for how best to help prepare people in the PNW for future natural disasters. The survey will take less than 12 minutes to complete<\/strong>. The information collected from the survey will be analyzed to produce a summary report on the thematic areas. No data will be associated with you personally. It\u2019s a great time to plan out the rest of the term and prepare for final exams. ASOSU Warm Clothing Drive<\/strong>
ASOSU Campus Improvements Committee in partnership with Circle K and Rotaract Club are collecting new and used donations for their winter clothing drive! Items such as scarves, hats, gloves, and coats are being collected in order to help students in need. You can drop off donations in bins at the SEC Plaza, ALS atrium and the SLUG<\/strong>. Kindergarten Readiness <\/strong>Research Program<\/strong>
We are looking for volunteer Undergraduate Research Assistants who are interested in working with young children in school settings and learning about research and education in the real world. We are testing test the efficacy of our Red Light, Purple Light<\/a><\/em> (RLPL) movement and music self-regulation intervention in preschool children. More on RLPL can be found here<\/a>. 

Anytime Anywhere: MySSP @ OSU App<\/strong>
Anytime Anywhere: MySSP @ OSU is an app that gives all OSU students, including Ecampus students, 24\/7 access by text or phone with a licensed mental health counselor (MySSP stands for \u201cMy Student Support Program\u201d). The app makes it easy to schedule short-term counseling appointments with the same ongoing counselor and provides educational materials covering mental health topics. Students can communicate with a counselor in five different languages (Mandarin, Cantonese, French, Spanish or English); additional language options are available upon request.
